The 2008 French Movie Panorama in China officially started off in Beijing on 10 April with the screening of "Asterix at the Olympic Games". This popular Olympic-themed comedy starred French movie icons Alain Delon and Gerard Depardieu, and its theme fitted well with Beijing being the host city of the 2008 Olympic games. It was one of the most expensive European productions ever with a 78 million Euro budget.

More than 100 high networth guests from SG Private Banking were invited to this opening screening and a splendid cocktail reception.
