SG Private Banking supports a Rendez-vous with French cinema in India

As part of a global partnership, SG Private Banking supported Unifrance to usher in the first French film festival to India. The Festival commenced with a gala evening on 27th January 2008 which was inaugurated by His Excellency, the French Ambassador to India, Jérôme Bonnafont. Thereafter, guests were invited to a pre-view screening of 'Astérix at the Olympic Games' (French: Astérix aux Jeux Olympiques). Mr Emmanuel Amaury, Chief Administrative Officer of SG Private Banking India played host to our high net-worth guests.

After the screening, over 400 guests and VIPs were invited to dinner. At the dinner, the Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan was honoured with the distinction of Officer of the "Ordre des Arts et des Lettres" by the Ambassador of France to India.

Amidst a strong line up of films, aficionados were given an opportunity to watch among many others 'Azur and Asmar', 'Caramel', 'Avatar', 'The Stone Council', 'The Science of Sleep', 'Them’ and ‘Crossed Tracks' during a two week festival.

SG Private Banking was delighted to extend its support to help promote top quality French cinema worldwide so that the local Indian audience gets an opportunity to appreciate the great films and the many talents that string this festival together.
