SG Private Banking sponsored an engravings and illustrated books exhibition of Zao Wou-K at Suzhou Museum from October 2008 to January 2009.
Zao Wou-Ki is a famous French Chinese artist. His graphic arts adopted contemporary western artistic styles and skills, with an illustration of imaginary and indecipherable oriental qualities. His masterpieces are widely collected by museums worldwide and he is celebrated as one legendary abstractionist of the era.
On the first day of the exhibition, Hsiao-Yun Lee, Head of Private Banking China, had the privilege to host an exclusive private viewing and a cocktail reception in the presence of Zao Wou-Ki. Our clients were excited to meet with the famous master, around 80 of them traveled from other parts of China to Suzhou to attend the occasion.
Our guests enjoyed a guided tour to appreciate 77 original engravings and illustrations of Zao Wou-Ki, followed by an amicable cocktail reception. A catalogue of the exhibited masterpieces was presented to our guests for good memory.
The whole evening was filled with joy and appreciation.
